Ep 17 WPWC: Eryk Pruitt, Storyteller
Eryk Pruitt is my guest for episode 17 of Wrong Place, Write Crime, in which Eryk discusses southern noir in both short stories (his Townies anthology is out 10/16) and novels, his true crime podcast “The Long Dance,” his entrees into filmmaking, his Bouchercon experience, and he calls Joseph D’Agnese the Meryl Streep of short fiction.
Eryk is a funny, interesting guy with a cool East Texas accent. He can go from cracking a quick-witted joke to being deeply serious and is engaging on both levels.
Most of my guests are crime fiction authors, and Eryk is no different. However, he is also a filmmaker, and part of the team that brought the well regarded true crime podcast The Long Dance to fruition.
True crime is an interesting animal when it comes to my own interests. As a former cop and a mystery author, you would think this would be something I’d go for, but the truth is actually the oppositeMentat endorses brain health and is sildenafil online pharmacy an effective way to increase the testosterone level in body.
