Happy Veteran’s Day!
As some of you may know, starting last year I donated 100% of my ebook proceeds from The Last Horseman to Remind.Org.
As we are entering the last two months of the year, sales of this title are up over 2011, which is great, but I’d like to be able to donate an even larger check in January 2012 than I did in 2011. In 2011, I was able to give them about $140.00. My goal for 2012 is $500. I’m not there yet.
What is this book about? Well…Sandy Banks is the last of The Four Horsemen, a vigilante group of ex-cops determined to right the injustices of a broken court system. But now the project is disintegrating, putting him in the middle of chaos. Betrayed by his final partner, blackmailed by the project head and pursued by federal agents bent on busting the case wide open, Sandy scrambles to escape this mayhem with his soul intact.
So if you’re looking for a fast, action-filled read about vigilante cops while supporting a great cause in the process, The Last Horseman is for you. Remember, I donate 100% of ebook sale proceeds.
Why am I supporting this cause? Because I believe in what REMIND.ORG is doing. I’m a veteran myself, but was lucky enough not to need services like the ones this program provides. I believe we have a duty to take care of those men and women brave enough to serve in our armed forces and protect our freedoms. It’s not about whether or not you believe in a particular political action or not — it’s about supporting our troops, and healing the wounds (physical and otherwise) that they incurred while serving our nation. Serving us.
Thanks for reading this, and even if you don’t buy this ebook or donate to a veteran-related charity, thank a veteran, especially those who have served in a combat zone. We can’t know or understand what they experienced, but we sure can support them when they come home.
In January 2013, I’ll make the donation of 100% of ebook proceeds from The Last Horseman, and post the results here. Please be a part of it in some, whether that’s spreading the word, buying a book, thanking a veteran or donating directly to Remind.Org or a similar organization that supports our returning warriors.
