Looking Back&Forward

My appearance at the Coeur d’Alene Hastings went very well. Being that it was Black Friday, the traffic was high. I met a lot of people I’d never met before (always a plus when it comes to appearances!) and some that I knew online but hadn’t met in person yet (Hi, Stacey!). As is always the case, the staff (Kathy and Simone) treated me wonderfully. And more than a few customers walked out of the store with a Frank Zafiro novel in their bag.

The following day’s appearance at the Seattle Mystery Bookshop was great, too. There weren’t quite as many people shopping because, as luck would have it, the weather in Seattle was uncharacteristically clear and calm. Still, I had the opportunity to visit with the staff at SMB (Fran and Janene that day) and customers. Going to Seattle to appear at SMB is a blast, and has been every time.

Looking ahead, I will appear at the Hastings in Kennewick, Washington on Saturday, December 1st from 1 PM to 4 PM. I’m looking forward to it, as this will only be the second time I’ve appeared at this store.

Then, the following weekend on December 8th, I will be back in Coeur d’Alene for a group event of crime writers at the Hastings from 2 PM to 5 PM. This is a recent addition to my events calendar — the staff asked me to join the event when I was there last week. That was very kind of them and I’m looking forward to it.

Please mark your calendar for Friday, December 14 at 7:30 PM. That is when I’ll be appearing at Auntie’s Bookstore. Those appearances always involve a reading and some questions and answers before the book signing itself. If you’re trying to decide what to do that night, come on down for the author event and have dinner downtown afterward. Makes for a nice evening.
